- I don't know if its still a thing, but they have a public feeding tour where they go around feeding the animals and people can tag long. Can be quite crowded, but gives you a better chans to see the animal in action. Fun for the kids.
- Fun fact about the squirrels at Djurgården; They are so used to humans that they are totally fearless. I have a childhood memory of sitting in the pram eating a Cloetta Kexchoklad (wafer type chocolate bar) while going to Skansen and my mother telling me to give some to the squirrels for fun. That actually resulted in one grabbing the entire bar out of my hands and dashing off with it!
- We loved Skansen when we visited in Sept. 2017. We turned a corner and saw a dumpster area COVERED with peacocks. Imagine a dumpster covered in raccoons, but they're peacocks! It was so strange!

- 1:38 There are escalators too, if you go to the other main entrance to Skansen.
- I went there yesterday and it seems like it was child season. Almost every animal had children and it was adorable. Too bad you didn't buy any brända mandlar.
